NOOTER is looking for an experienced Contract/Subcontract Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate would have 3 years of experience in contract/subcontract administration, preferably in industrial, heavy civil or commercial construction with a bachelor's degree in business administration, Construction Management, Legal Studies or related field (or equivalent experience). This candidate would possess a strong understanding of construction contracting principles and legal terminology. A successful candidate would have excellent negotiation, analytical, written/verbal communication skills and the ability to manage multiple contracts and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a variety of contracts and subcontracts (i.e. lump sum, T&M, cost-reimbursable).
- Support pre-award and post-award contract administration for industrial projects.
- Identify and mitigate potential risk in contract language and obligations.
- Maintain organized records of all contract documents, modifications, and correspondence.
- Interface with legal counsel as needed on complex contract issues or disputes.
- Manage change orders, claims, and contract close-outs in coordination with project controls.
- Pull National Maintenance Agreement extensions and manage reporting.
