Sales Associate/Receiving Clerk
Growing retail company has immediate openings for Full-Time or Part-Time in several locations with upward movement potential. Primary duties include customer service, merchandising, and maintaining a welcoming work environment.
Starting pay up to $14.50 per hour. Additional pay available for qualified candidates.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales
- Ensure promotions all promotion items are prepared and well merchandised
- Be familiar with applicable sales tax laws
Customer Service
- Ensure highest level of customer service is provided to ensure expectations are exceeded
- Implement and adhere to company’s standards, and insist guests are acknowledged, thanked, and invited to return
Merchandising
- Maintain high level of merchandise presentation to company standards
- React to all current direction and update merchandise presentation accordingly with season and advertising changes
Operations
- Maintain clean, safe and productive work environment throughout the store including sales floor, bathrooms, stockrooms, receiving and indoor and outdoor storage areas
- Direct and execute all store operations and policies and procedures
Inventory Management
- Ensure compliance with procedures for receiving, shipping, sorting, and timely processing of freight
- Ensure returns and damages are completed according to procedure and deadlines

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Retail experience preferred but not required.
- Experience with inventory or receiving.
- Flexible availability, including nights/weekends; Typical schedule will be e/o weekend; Store hours are 7:30-6:00 M-F, Sat til 5:00 and Sunday til 4:00.
- Possess analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle and accept change when policy or procedures change to adhere to any and all changes with a positive outlook.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, associates, vendors, etc.
- Ability to be on feet for extended periods of and able to climb ladder
- Must be able to grasp, lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Handle and maintain merchandise moving equipment, as needed
Salary based on the applicant’s skills and knowledge relative to the position. Full-Time benefits based on a schedule of a minimum of 30 hrs/wk.
