Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk in a medical office setting. The medical receptionist provides a wide range of administrative support for the clinic. From managing scheduling and organizing files to answering patients’ questions, medical receptionists play a vital role in the provider-patient relationship.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments
- Assist with medical administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Provide excellent customer service to patients by addressing their inquiries or concerns
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient flow
Skills
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Strong administrative skills with experience in a front desk or office setting
- Proficiency in using phone systems and handling multiple phone lines
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to provide medical administrative support
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients and colleagues effectively
- Proficiency in the utilization of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment.

Position Details
- Full-time: Monday-Friday, 6:30am-3:00pm.
- Starting Rate: $18.00-$24.50, determined by years of experience and education.
- Pay Range: $18.00-$28.00/hr.
