What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Utility Specialist position at Nord Gear Corporation?
JOB SUMMARY:
The primary role of the Production Utility Specialist is to act as a production floater between departments (based on business need). Primary job responsibilities will fall within the Parts/Inventory function, but employees may also perform Gearbox Assembly Support and general labor functions associated with facility expansions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with duties related to production, production expansion and interdepartmental production flow.
- Assist with general inventory and parts including the Receiving, put-away, inventory audit, cycle counting and parts pulling. Using a Reach forklift or traditional forklift to place parts into warehouse racking system.
- Using ProGlove, assist in the pulling of parts from inventory in preparation of Gearbox. Ensure the correct parts are pulled based on the bill of materials.
- Assist in the unloading of incoming parts and product placement within Inventory.
- Other various shop-floater duties that revolve around production expansion or production fulfillment.
