What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Care Specialist position at Norder Supply?
Role Purpose
Responsible for customer accounts as assigned. This will include maintaining accurate records for each customer and working with customers and sales managers in a professional manner. Customer Care personnel will also be expected to complete all other duties as assigned by the supervisor while displaying Norder Supply’s core values and to support our purpose of assisting our customers in achieving maximum net return per acre.
Accountabilities
Customer Accounts
- Create timely and accurate invoices for all product sold and prepare monthly statements to all customers with unpaid balances
- Track customer prepay and apply to necessary invoices
- Know all financing options available to customers and take the steps necessary to ensure that they are enrolled correctly
- Work directly with customers and sales personnel regarding questions or concerns about a customer account
- Work with sales personnel regarding customer product performance complaints
- Work with Inventory/Accounts Payable personnel regarding inventory issues
- Create reports, spreadsheets, etc. as requested by managers and sales personnel
- Complete all grower reports by state deadlines
- Maintain customer records in an organized, accessible manner
Daily Tasks
- Sort and distribute inter-company mail to appropriate personnel
- Complete daily deposit and enter customer cash receipts
- Answer the phone when necessary
- Deliver outgoing mail to the post office
Other Duties
- Maintain an organized and clean work area
- Work with sales manager(s) assigned to Customer Care team
- Help other office personnel as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
- Promote professionalism and teamwork personally and among other employees
Knowledge Skills & Experience
Critical Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to maintain strict customer confidentiality
- Basic computer knowledge including experience with Microsoft Office Excel
- Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented and ability to self-motivate
- Basic math skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to work as part of a team to meet deadlines and adapt to changing environments
- Ability to work overtime as needed during peak season and designated Saturdays throughout the year
