The Relationship Program Manager (RM) is primarily responsible for diagnosing the business and clinical needs and scoping solutions to achieve those needs. In addition, the RM has the responsibility for fitting the business needs to the enterprise I&T services, designs, and solutions. The RM is a key liaison between the front-line business users and I&T. RM’s are essential for improving communication between market business stakeholders and I&T. The RM is a key liaison between the front-line business users and I&T. RM’s are essential for improving communication between market business stakeholders and I&T. RM’s should have a good understanding of I&T processes, healthcare, and market business processes.Key Responsibilities
- Collaborates with other disciplines, the I&T Team, and market business partners to implement and support application and technology solutions that support the total care of the patient and the business functions.
- Assist in the implementation of specific projects, either sponsored by I&T or the market.
- Establishes key relationships with market executives and front-line leaders, physicians, as well as influential staff members within the market. Maintains high moral and ethical leadership principles.
- Demonstrates conflict management skills by reacting promptly and effectively following organizational policies.
- Develop relationships with the market front-line and managerial stakeholders to ensure that these key stakeholders are actively engaged in technology planning and implementation.
- Establishes priorities and assists market and I&T staff with problem-solving.
- Works with and participates in department committees and other requested meetings. Regularly participates in and facilitates Technology Advisory Committee and Business Functional Committee meetings.
- Effectively coordinates and communicates I&T priorities within the market they serve.
- Performs rounds within facilities served to establish end user relationships and identify issues.
- Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of related experience, or 11 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
- Leadership/Management experience preferred.
- Demonstrated competence and comfort in working with all levels of the organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with staff, management, end users, and other market personnel.
- Ability to research, organize, analyze, and synthesize data to support effective decision-making.
- Ability to use all necessary office automation (i.e. MS Office, Skype, Cisco Telepresence, etc.) software efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to work effectively as a team player and work with people of all backgrounds and at all levels.
- Ability to take initiative, use sound judgment, make independent decisions, and work with tight deadlines.
- Exhibits a willingness to explore new ideas, identify changing opportunities, and develop ways to meet opportunities, while understanding the financial implications to implement changes.
- Self-motivating.
- Demonstrates the ability to work with interruptions, under stress, and in emergency situations.
- Is a continuous, life-long learner who regularly invests their time and efforts in enhancing their healthcare business and technology knowledge base.
- Employee is required to follow organizational rules, policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and standards.
- Required to car travel to off-site locations, occasionally in adverse weather conditions.
