Director, People and Culture
The Director of People and Culture is a pivotal role at Nordis leading the overall strategy, objectives, and administration of the Human Resources Department. This role works independently with little supervision and must be able to manage the many complexities of the business changes and align them with employee practices, and policies. Areas of expertise must be in the areas of recruiting and onboarding, rewards and recognition, organizational and performance management, employee engagement, coaching and employee development, and compensation practices.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Develops comprehensive recruiting and retention plans to successfully support the company’s growth initiatives and strategic goals.

Works in collaboration with the CFO and CEO on comprehensive compensation and benefits plans that are competitive and cost-effective.

Provide overall leadership and guidance to the HR function by overseeing talent recruiting and onboarding, career development, retention strategies, management training, leadership development, and compensation and benefits.

Develops leadership and talent pipeline strategies, ensuring future company growth through succession planning and high-potential development programs.

Establishes and implements HR policy, plans, processes, and initiatives that effectively support the company's mission and strategic vision for growth.

Drives a high-performance, values-driven culture by implementing initiatives that foster engagement, well-being, and a sense of belonging

Works with the company's management leadership team gaining alignment and support on key HR initiatives.

Proactive change leader, ensuring smooth transitions during organizational growth, restructuring, or transformation initiatives

Keeps abreast of government policy and analyzes regulatory compliance on benefits, labor laws, and employee data and ensures accuracy.

Manages the HR software, sets up reporting capabilities, and ensures efficiency and utilization of HR systems.

Implements innovative HR technologies and automation tools to enhance efficiency and scalability

Utilizes HR analytics and data-driven insights to measure workforce trends, inform decision-making, and optimize HR strategies

Ensures the company is adhering to regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, psychology, business administration, or related field.

Graduate degree preferred.

10 years’ work experience in Human resources management roles.

Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPRH) certification.

Utilizes HR software efficiently. Paycom experience preferred.

Sound knowledge of labor laws and HR functions.

Ability to manage change and tight deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong management and interpersonal skills.

Excellent problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills.

The ability to engage with employees at all levels of the organization.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Judgement and critical thinking.
Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
