The Heavy Duty – Heavy Equipment Subject Matter Expert will support the company’s technical needs in identifying, creating, and maintaining viable solutions for the marketplace.

Location : Greensboro, NC | Type : Full-time, Exempt | Salary : $60,000-$80,000

Key Responsibilities :

Act as the expert in areas of automotive, commercial vehicle, or heavy equipment diagnostic tools.

Ability to read and understand schematics and wiring diagrams.

Work as part of the Content Management Group to produce innovative features in Noregon products that present industry leading ROI to our customers.

Provide input to monthly product boards on various analysis as requested.

Provide subject matter expertise to Product Managers with respect to appropriate information and information flow within Noregon Products to ensure product features are well thought out.

Supervisory Responsibilities :

This position will not have supervisory responsibilities.

This job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Education / Experience Required :

Associate degree in an Automotive or Diesel technology or related field.

Experience in working with automotive / commercial vehicle / heavy equipment network protocols, specifically data and diagnostic layers required.

5 years of experience as technician in automotive, commercial vehicle, or heavy equipment industry required.

ASE certification preferred.

Additional Eligibility Requirements :

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Ability to work well in a team environment.

Ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers.

Process-oriented.

Ability to think and work independently.

Strong knowledge of database tools a plus-not required.

Strong reasoning skills.

Physical Requirements :

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some on- and off-site vehicle testing and / or demonstration may be required. This would require the ability to enter heavy-duty trucks or equipment and gain access to various components as needed, in addition to standing, walking, reaching, kneeling, bending, and stooping, as necessary.

Basic motor skills and manual dexterity for extensive computer usage are required.

Sitting for extended periods of time is required.

Talking, hearing and close vision abilities are required.

Ability to occasionally lift 50 pounds.

Stress may occur with changing priorities, tight deadlines, and long hours.

Travel Requirements :

Up to 15%
