Basic Functions:
The Clinic Administrator position is responsible for the administrative and fiscal management of our medical office facility. This position reports to the Norfolk Medical Group Board of Directors and requires knowledge of current healthcare systems operations, excellent organizational and technology skills, the ability to perform well in stressful situations, and ensure steady workflows and uninterrupted service in our medical facility.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the company’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and auditing. Ensure that the financial transactions, polices and procedures meet the organization’s short- and long-term business objectives and are conducted in accordance with regulations, accounting principles, and standards.
Develop and implement the financial strategy of the company. This includes long-term financial planning and forecasting, risk management, and investment strategies.
Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements. Ensure the timely reporting of key financial data and updates to the Board of Directors and other key stakeholders.
Communicate with legal counsel and accounting professionals to ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions.
Implement monthly reconciliation of accounts and financial transactions.
Process accounts payable and negotiate vendor contracts and renewals.
Oversee supervisory staff and midlevel providers.
Qualifications:
· College or trade school training preferred
· Previous supervisory experience preferred
· Computer operations and knowledge
· Excellent communication skills
· Demonstrates ability to get along well with others
· Ability to exercise a high degree of personal judgement
· Must be dependable and report to work on time
Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions:
· Work is performed during regular work hours but may require overtime and/or weekend hours to meet deadlines.
· Work in varying degrees of temperature (heated or air conditioned)
· This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines
· The position is largely sedentary; however, some filing is required. Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary is required. The employee must occasionally lift office products and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds
