Job Title

Team Trainer

Job Summary

The Team Trainer provides training of all team functions to new employees and conducts retraining for existing employees. This position develops and maintains all documentation, training materials, and other reference tools that are used within the team to train staff. The Team Trainer researches and resolves issues involving training and ensures that all department specifications follow Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) correspondence regulations.

Essential Functions

Key Duties/Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Conducts new hire, refresher, and continued learning trainings for staff
  • Creates and maintains training plans, guides and manuals for all areas of training
  • Serves as the point person for SharePoint or any documentation portal used
  • Reports and records all trainings for Measure, Monitor, and Evaluate (MME) and audit purposes
  • Creates assessments and corrective checks for all staff to ensure accuracy and for audit purposes
  • Possesses extensive knowledge of: Team specific tools, claims processing and learning tools and systems.
  • Possesses and continually updates knowledge of specialties within Redeterminations area and ability to access and research appropriate resources
  • Assists all areas of appeals to ensure timely completion of all workloads as requested
  • Supports internal and external customers with questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • May support and engage in cross departmental collaboration
  • Completes weekly and monthly status reports
  • Recognizes various learning styles to determine training needs and adjust training delivery accordingly
  • Develops plans, procedures, goals, strategies, or processors based on data analysis of experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED and 3 years' Medicare experience
  • May be required to be certified in three or more Redetermination Specialties
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite products (Outlook, Excel, Word etc.)
  • Facilitation and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor
  • Ability to work under time constraints

Above requirements and the following:

  • Training theories and practices experience
  • General knowledge of other organization's team functions

  • Office Environment
  • Ability to read, hear, speak, keyboard, reason, communicate effectively and problem solve
  • Requires prolonged sitting and telephone use
  • Requires the use of office equipment such as computer terminals, telephones, copiers and printers
  • Infrequent lifting to 15 pounds
  • Infrequent stooping
  • Ability to travel

Colorado Salary Range: $16.08 - $26.45
