Technical Manager

Join us as the Technical Manager in our Pryor, OK production plant. In this role you will need to lead and manage the plant's technical teams (Process Engineers and Quality Control lab). You will be responsible to manage the site capital plan and to planning, leading and executing projects and ensuring resources are allocated to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget. You will also ensure maintaining compliance with all internal and regulatory standards and certifications, including compliance with ISO 9001, Halal, Kosher, etc.

You will need a continuous improvement skills and mindset to continuously look for improvement opportunities and foster an atmosphere of continuous improvement to drive process improvement and gain efficiencies.

This position reports into the Regional Director of Manufacturing for the Americas and works with multiple levels at the site and offsite to ensure cooperation and coordination of all departments.

• 5 years of experience in a technical or process management role within a manufacturing facility.

• 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Track record in leading technical teams with strong project management and interpersonal skills.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical issues.
• Strong analytical skills, ability to gather, analyze and draw well-reasoned conclusions.
• Proven ability to influence actions and mindsets.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Manage and mentor technical staff, providing training and support to build technical expertise and foster a collaborative environment.
• To provide overall direction to achieve manufacturing excellence through effective interfacing of production resources with technical and maintenance resources.
• Ensure that safety and regulatory requirements are met in the Quality Control laboratories and quality incidents are properly reported and investigated.
• Ensure that all products are analyzed, handled, stored, packaged, and delivered in accordance with documented procedures.
• Review operating conditions for variations and recommended corrective actions. Formulate the resources required to plan, develop, and implement process improvements that enhance or maintain product quality and production efficiencies to meet the specific customer requirements and production needs.
• Prepare a timely budget and monthly changes in forecasts for the departments.
• Lead changes to improve plant performance by optimizing product volume, yields and quality in accordance with business needs, while minimizing operating costs and maximizing unit safety and reliability.
• Responsible for ensuring coordinating resources and timelines to achieve successful outcomes for technical projects.
• Responsible for maintaining the cost improvement program (planning, developing and implementing cost reduction projects) to continuously reduce product costs.
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure the site has effective procedures.
