Community Care College is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager! The Facilities Manager will make sure the buildings and grounds are maintained, which entails daily and weekly cleaning schedules as well as determining and scheduling repairs, renovation projects, waste reduction improvements, and safety inspections. Be in charge of a budget and negotiate with outside vendors for supplies, repairs, and other measures. The Facilities Manager will oversee groundskeepers, maintenance workers, and housekeeping staff.
The Facilities Manager is responsible for managing the design, planning, construction, and maintenance of equipment and machinery at all three campuses. Maintain the grounds, directing staff and overseeing the upkeep of equipment and supplies. On-Campus Monday - Friday 8-5 on-call nights/weekends for emergencies. Licensed by OBPVS.
- Must be a 3rd class engineer
- Must have a Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience and education in engineering facilities/construction management
- 5 years experience in Facilities or Project Management; 5 years management experience leading large team across multiple sites.
- Construction and/or multi-family apartment industry experience
- Ability to understand business objectives, strategies, and directions and to develop & implement actions plans accordingly.
- Ability to influence and collaborate internally and externally at all organizational levels.
- Excellent customer service; good interpersonal/problem solving skills
General Duties & Responsibilities:
- Project manager for all expansion projects
- Project manager for building improvements and remodeling
- Management of housekeeping and maintenance team
- Distributes Building Access Proximity Cards and keys to personnel
- Responsible for hiring of any carpentry, painters, landscaping, or other building personnel
- Issues all parking passes to employees and students
- Maintain upkeep of outside grounds
- Approving all supply requests for upkeep and building repairs
- Responsible for employee training and orientation in maintenance and housekeeping
- Oversee the scheduling, maintenance, and monitoring of the HVAC systems, Emergency Power/UPS system, water, electric, and other systems to ensure efficient operations
- Inspect facilities and generate reports
- Administer the work assignments for technicians, vendors, and contractors
- Review price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor
- Building maintenance inventory supplies
- Respond to problems in a tactful and expedient manner
- Have a working knowledge of the I-NET200 building management system at the Community Care College building
- Have a working knowledge of the METASYS building management system at the Clary Sage College
- Have a working knowledge of the ENTRAPASS building access system for Community Care College and Clary Sage College
- Manage the Dedicated Micros camera system at Community Care College and Clary Sage College
- Have a working knowledge of the Burglar Alarm system at all three facilities
- Review facilities supplier contract agreements and commercial terms and conditions
- Undertake office layout changes, and act as mover when needed.
- Be knowledgeable about the utilities and communication infrastructure
- Responsible for organizing emergency evacuation plans for tornado and fire
- Attend staff meetings at all three campuses and be prepared to report news from the department
- Facilitate departmental meetings when needed
- Preparing and maintaining various reports and manuals as needed
- Interact daily with students (customers), management, vendors, and employees ensuring the high quality standards and corporate values are portrayed on behalf of the college
- Reports to the CFO
