Job Summary: The Production Planner will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the production planning process to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing operations. This role involves working closely with various departments, including purchasing, production, and logistics, to maintain a seamless supply chain and meet customer demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain schedules to ensure optimal use of resources, timely delivery of products.
- Monitor inventory and coordinate with purchasing to ensure the availability of materials.
- Collaborate with production to address any issues that may impact the production schedule.
- Analyze data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Communicate with suppliers to manage lead times and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with logistics to ensure efficient transportation and distribution of finished goods.
- Prepare and present reports on production status, inventory levels, and performance.
- Participate in continuous improvement to enhance production efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications
- Required: High school diploma. 2 years of experience in production planning or supply chain management, preferably in the manufacturing industry
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 3 years of experience in production planning or supply chain management, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials used in the production of iron and steel articles is a plus.
