Norman Regional Health System is a community hospital system nestled at the Southern border of the Oklahoma City metro area. We have an innovative cardiovascular program and are looking for knowledgeable Registered Technologists to expand our team.
Job Overview
We work with a team of nine cardiologists and two electrophysiologists in delivering excellent cardiac care by preparing and operating equipment during procedures. This position involves assessing patient conditions, maintaining a sterile environment, and serving as a preceptor for new staff and students.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition. Prepare, position, and provide patient care.
- Maintain a sterile environment.
- Develop strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
- Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in their orientation.
Requirements
- Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility.
- Registered and/or RCIS certification preferred.
- Previous Procedural Area experience is advantageous.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) registration.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required prior to providing patient care, with current BLS maintenance through re-training during employment.
