Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize preparing equipment before and during procedures to ensure smooth operations.
- Evaluate patient conditions, prepare patients, and provide individualized care throughout the procedure.
- Maintain a sterile environment to prevent complications and ensure patient safety.
- Develop and lead training sessions for new hires and radiology students as a preceptor.
- Utilize downtime effectively by restocking rooms, inspecting equipment, and completing other assigned tasks.
- Establish strong professional relationships with physicians and leadership to deliver excellent patient care.
Qualifications and Education
- Complete Cath Lab RT Orientation within six months of hire.
- Finish all competencies listed in department policy within six months of employment.
Licensure and Certification
- American Registry of Radiologic Technology certification or eligibility and/or current RCIS registration is mandatory.
- Cardiovascular (CV), (CI), and/or (VI) certification is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training is required prior to providing patient care and must be maintained throughout employment.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) training must be achieved within six months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
