Overview of the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Technologist to join our cardiovascular program as a Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and operating equipment during cardiovascular procedures while ensuring patient safety and care.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and operation of equipment before and during procedures to ensure optimal performance and patient safety.
- Patient assessment and preparation, including positioning and providing necessary care to meet individual needs.
- Maintenance of a sterile environment throughout procedures to prevent contamination and infection.
- Servicing as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in their orientation and training.
- Effective use of downtime to stock rooms, check equipment, and complete delegated tasks assigned by Charge person or manager.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program with a strong foundation in medical technology and patient care.
- One year of experience working in a Cath Lab setting preferred, but not required.
- Registration as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS.
- Basic Life Support certification with Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 months of hire.
