The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist at Norman Regional Health System is responsible for preparing and maintaining equipment, providing patient care, and ensuring a sterile environment during cardiovascular procedures. The role requires collaboration with cardiologists and involves training new staff and radiology students, while adhering to rigorous safety and accreditation standards. Key responsibilities include preparing equipment before and during procedures, identifying and assessing patient condition, establishing and maintaining a sterile environment, and serving as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Candidates must hold relevant certifications and complete essential training within designated timelines for effective performance in this innovative cardiovascular program. Required qualifications include registration as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS, Basic Life Support, and Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire.
