The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist at Norman Regional Health System is responsible for preparing equipment and providing patient care in a sterile environment. This position requires certification in Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular and the ability to work in a dynamic team setting to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare equipment before and during procedures.* Identify and assess patient condition. Prepare, position and provide patient care.* Maintain a sterile environment.* Participate in the training of new hires and radiology students.* Use downtime effectively to maintain equipment and complete delegated tasks.
Requirements
* 6 months completion of Cath Lab RT Orientation.* Complete all competencies listed in department policy within 6 months.* Completion of 24 month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligible and/or current RCIS.* Previous Procedural Area experience preferred.* Certification in Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular preferred.* Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training required during orientation.* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.* ACLS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained through duration of employment.
