The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist plays a vital role in delivering exceptional cardiovascular care. This position involves preparing equipment, assessing patient conditions, and maintaining a sterile environment while working closely with a team of cardiologists. The technologist also serves as a mentor for new staff, ensuring high standards of care within a prestigious healthcare facility recognized for its excellence in cardiology.
Norman Regional Health System is committed to providing innovative cardiovascular care. Our state-of-the-art Critical Care Tower features three Cath Lab suites, one Electrophysiology suite, one Hybrid suite, two treatment rooms, and seventeen Same Day Surgery rooms. We work with a team of nine cardiologists and two electrophysiologists.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition. Prepare, position, and provide patient care.
- Maintain a sterile environment.
- Serve as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, and participate in the orientation of new staff.
- Utilize downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks assigned by Charge person or manager.
- Foster strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to ensure excellent patient care.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Complete Cath Lab RT Orientation within 6 months.
- Meet all competencies listed in department policy within 6 months.
Education and Experience:
Candidates must possess a completion of 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility and/or current RCIS certification.
Licensure/Certification/Registration/Etc.
American Registry of Radiologic Technology registration and/or RCIS certification are required. Cardiovascular (CV) or (CI) and/or (VI) certification is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current BLS is necessary to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment. ACLS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
Compensation Package:
- $27.84-$45.46/hr based on previous work experience.
