Job Summary:
The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist plays a vital role in our innovative cardiovascular program. Key responsibilities include preparing equipment before and during procedures, identifying and assessing patient conditions, establishing and maintaining a sterile environment, serving as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, and participating in downtime activities such as stocking rooms and checking equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares equipment before and during procedures
- Identifies and assesses patient condition, prepares, positions, and provides patient care
- Establishes and maintains a sterile environment
- Serves as preceptor for new hires and radiology students
- Uses downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager
- Maintains a strong professional working relationship with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program
- One year of experience working in a Cath Lab preferred
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCIS)
- Basic Life Support certification
- Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of hire
