Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiovascular Radiology Specialist to join our team at Norman Regional Health System. This individual will play a critical role in the cardiovascular program, preparing and maintaining equipment for procedures and providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency.
- Assess patient condition and provide personalized care to meet their unique needs.
- Maintain a sterile environment throughout procedures to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
- Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, providing guidance and support to ensure a smooth transition into their roles.
- Utilize downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing delegated tasks to maintain a high level of organization and productivity.
Requirements
- Completion of 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility.
- Registered and/or RCIS certification, preferably with cardiovascular (CV) or (CI) and/or (VI) specialization.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training and ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
