Job Description
The Catheterization Laboratory Technician will play a vital role in preparing equipment, identifying patient conditions, and establishing sterile environments for procedures. This position requires strong communication skills, teamwork, and adaptability in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and position equipment for procedures.
- Assess patient conditions and provide appropriate care.
- Establish and maintain aseptic environments for procedures.
- Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students.
- Utilize downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and performing other delegated tasks.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Completion of 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology.
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Life Support (ACLS) training within 6 months of hire.
