Job Title: Diagnostic Imaging Specialist
Norman Regional Health System seeks a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our cardiovascular program, this individual will prepare and maintain equipment, provide patient care, and ensure a sterile environment during procedures.
This position involves serving as a preceptor for new hires, collaborating closely with a team of cardiologists and electrophysiologists, and adhering to rigorous professional standards. The ideal candidate will possess relevant certifications and complete necessary training to ensure high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing equipment before and during procedures
- Identifying and assessing patient condition, preparing, positioning, and providing patient care
- Establishing and maintaining a sterile environment
- Serving as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in the orientation of new staff
- Using downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager
- Maintaining strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care
Required qualifications include completion of a 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology, with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility and/or current RCIS certification.
