Cardiovascular Technologist

The Norman Regional Health System is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cardiovascular Technologist to join its team. This individual will play a critical role in preparing and operating equipment during procedures while maintaining a sterile environment for patient care.

This position requires a strong background in radiologic technology, as well as the ability to assess patient conditions and serve as a preceptor for new staff members. We are looking for a caring and knowledgeable Registered Technologist to expand our cardiovascular program. Our state-of-the-art Critical Care Tower features three Cath Lab suites, one Electrophysiology suite, one Hybrid suite, two treatment rooms, and seventeen Same Day Surgery rooms. We work closely with a team of nine cardiologists and two electrophysiologists to provide comprehensive care to our patients.

Responsibilities

• Prepares equipment before and during procedures.
• Identifies and assesses patient condition, prepares, positions, and provides patient care.
• Establishes and maintains a sterile environment.
• Serves as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participates in the orientation of new staff.
• Uses downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager.
• Maintains strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
