Cardiovascular Technologist Job Summary:
The Cardiovascular Technologist plays a vital role in patient care at Norman Regional Health System. This position requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to train new staff, as well as certifications in Radiologic Technology and Basic Life Support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepares equipment before and during procedures.
- Identifies and assesses patient condition. Prepares, positions and provides patient care.
- Establishes and maintains a sterile environment.
- Supports physicians during cardiovascular procedures.
Education and Experience:
- Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility.
- Previous Procedural Area experience preferred.
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS.
