Job Summary
The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist is responsible for preparing and maintaining equipment for cardiovascular procedures while ensuring a sterile environment and providing high-quality patient care. This position involves close collaboration with cardiologists, serving as a preceptor for new staff, and requiring ongoing education and certifications in radiologic technology and cardiovascular care.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition, prepare, position, and provide patient care.
- Establish and maintain a sterile environment.
- Serve as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, and participate in the orientation of new staff.
- Use downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager.
- Maintain strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Qualifications:
- Completion of 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligible and/or current RCIS.
- Previous procedural area experience preferred.
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment.
- ACLS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained through duration of employment.
Benefits:
- $27.84-$45.46/hr based on previous work experience.
