Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for preparing and operating equipment during cardiovascular procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining a sterile environment.
This position requires expertise in patient assessment and care, with responsibilities that include mentoring new staff and collaborating with cardiologists. A commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to certification and accreditation requirements are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition, prepare, position, and provide patient care.
- Establish and maintain a sterile environment.
- Serve as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in the orientation of new staff.
- Use downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager.
- Maintain strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Qualifications
- Completion of 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligible and/or current RCIS.
- Previous Procedural Area experience preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or accredited Cardiovascular Program.
- Registration from the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS.
- Basic Life Support training or re-training required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
- Current Basic Life Support required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment.
- ACLS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained through duration of employment.
