The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist at Norman Regional Health System plays a critical role in preparing equipment, assessing patient conditions, and delivering exceptional patient care in a sterile environment.
This position involves close collaboration with a team of cardiologists and electrophysiologists, as well as serving as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient conditions, providing personalized care and positioning patients as needed.
- Establish and maintain a sterile environment to ensure patient safety.
- Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in their orientation and training.
- Maintain a strong professional working relationship with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a 24-month formal Radiologic Technology program or military program, eligible for American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registration.
- Current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) training within six months of hire.
