What are the responsibilities and job description for the Catheterization Laboratory Radiography Professional position at Norman Regional Health System?
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepares equipment before and during procedures.
- Identifies and assesses patient condition, preparing and positioning them for care.
- Maintains a sterile environment during procedures.
- Serves as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in their orientation and training.
- Uses downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing other delegated tasks assigned by the Charge person or manager.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology, with eligibility for American Registry of Radiologic Technologist certification.
- Registration as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT, or registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training, with ACLS certification required within six months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
