Catheterization Laboratory Technician

Job Responsibilities:
This role involves performing essential duties in providing patient care during cardiovascular procedures while maintaining a sterile environment. You will work closely with a skilled team of cardiologists and electrophysiologists to deliver outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
• Identify and assess patient condition, prepare, position, and provide patient care.
• Maintain a sterile environment and perform professional practices.
• Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, and participate in the orientation of new staff.
• Use downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager.

Requirements:

• Complete Cath Lab RT Orientation within 6 months.
• Complete all competencies listed in department policy within 6 months.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program.
• One year of experience working in a Cath Lab preferred.
• Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS.
• Basic Life Support.
• Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire.
