Job Summary
The Registered Clinical Dietitian provides initial nutrition assessments and ongoing care for patients in an acute healthcare setting. With a focus on nutrition education, this professional maintains expertise through continuing education and advanced knowledge in various subspecialties. This role requires registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and an Oklahoma state license within six months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Provides initial nutrition assessment of patient condition
- Provides ongoing reassessment and follow-up care
- Provides nutrition education services for patients and staff
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- Education: Any program approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics that leads to registration as a Registered Dietitian/Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist (RD/RDN)
- Experience: Six months of clinical experience in an acute care facility preferred
- Licensure/Certification: Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and an Oklahoma State Dietitian license must be achieved within the first 6 months of employment
