Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Ortho/Spine team.
Unit Overview
The Ortho/Spine unit is a 32-bed department specializing in orthopedic patients. We have received disease-specific certification from The Joint Commission for Hip Replacement, Knee Replacement, and Hip Fracture patients, making us a Center of Excellence. Additionally, we care for Total Shoulder and Ankle patients as well as other fractures and low-level cardiac patients with some medical-surgical responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of technical tasks in caring for adult and geriatric patients on the unit.
Requirements
Education
A completion of a vocational program for Licensed Practical Nurses is required.
Experience
Prior hospital experience is preferred, but not necessary. A stable work history or attendance record and performance will be considered.
Licensure/Certification
A current Oklahoma State LPN License and Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training during orientation are mandatory. Maintaining current BLS certification through re-training is also required throughout employment.
