As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Norman Endocrinology Associates, we deliver patient care in accordance with established nursing practices. Our role involves administering medications, maintaining a safe environment, and documenting patient activities while contributing to care plan development and staff training.
Responsibilities
- Perform duties of a licensed practical nurse as prescribed by the Oklahoma Nurse Practice Act.
- Contribute to the development of a plan of care and follow through with such plan for selected patients.
- Administer medication with a high degree of safety and accuracy.
- Maintain exam rooms and work environment.
- Document nursing care and activities.
- Assist with patient care and monitor patients during procedures.
- Assist with training of other staff.
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a vocational program for Licensed Practical Nurse.
Experience:
- Prefer at least 1-2 year experience in a clinical or physician-office setting, emergency room and/or a hospital setting that provides patient care. Experience in office clerical activities desirable.
Licensure/Certification:
- Current LPN license from the State of Oklahoma or active Multistate LPN license is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment.
Compensation/Benefits
- $17.39-$28.40/hr depending on previous work experience.
