- 3NW is a 28 bed Surgical Telemetry floor, where we specialize in the care of patients following surgery. Our primary patient mix includes General surgery, Bariatrics and Neurosurgery services. We are dedicated in providing exceptional care to our patients, and we accomplish this by combining proven nursing techniques, extensive post-surgical knowledge and top tier education and teamwork.
Job Summary
- Provides basic patient care
- Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment
- Takes and records vital sign (VS) data and relays to patient's nurse
- Provides general nursing care and routine treatment /procedures
- Facilitates processing of patients
- Provides clerical receptionist support
- Provides Coordinating Support
Qualifications
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent GED.
- Certification as a nursing assistant or 6 months of recent experience as a nursing assistant.
Experience
- Six (6) months of recent experience as a nursing assistant.
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or one clinical semester of nursing school OR
- Successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course or
- Six (6) months previous experience in a healthcare position can be substituted for the experience.
(The above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).
Licensure / Certification
- Basic Life Support *(BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment.
- Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
Compensation / Benefits
- $13.21-$21.58/hr depending on previous work experience.
- PRN differential $1.75/hr.
- Evening differential $1.50/hr.
- Night differential $1.75/hr.
- Weekend differential $1.75/hr.
