Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist to join our team at Norman Regional Health System. The ideal candidate will possess experience in cardiovascular radiologic technology, with relevant certifications and training in life support.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in the preparation and maintenance of equipment during procedures, ensuring a sterile environment and providing exceptional patient care. As part of the cardiovascular program, this technologist will collaborate with cardiologists and electrophysiologists, serving as a mentor for new staff and students.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparation and maintenance of equipment before and during procedures.
- Identifying and assessing patient conditions, preparing and positioning patients for care.
- Maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to professional practice standards.
- Serving as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in orientation and mentoring.
- Utilizing downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing delegated tasks.
- Fostering strong working relationships with physicians and leadership to ensure excellent patient care.
Required Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program.
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) or registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCIS).
- Basic Life Support certification and Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire.
- Minimum one year of experience working in a Cath Lab environment, preferred.
