Job Overview
The Cath Lab RT at Norman Regional Health System works closely with cardiologists and electrophysiologists to prepare equipment, assess patient conditions, and maintain a sterile environment during procedures. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain equipment for procedures
- Assess patient condition and provide appropriate care
- Maintain a sterile environment during procedures
- Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students
- Participate in the orientation of new staff and contribute to departmental initiatives
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A graduate degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field
- Registration as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire
- One year of experience working in a Cath Lab setting preferred
