Role Description:
This position requires a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to prepare equipment, assess patient conditions, and provide quality care in a sterile environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Radiologic Technology and relevant certifications, emphasizing collaboration with cardiologists and the orientation of new staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures
- Assess patient conditions and provide quality care
- Maintain a sterile environment
- Serve as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participate in the orientation of new staff
- Use downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program
- One year of experience working in a Cath Lab preferred
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS
- Basic Life Support certification
- Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of hire
