Multi-State Territory Sales Manager
The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and managing sales strategies within their designated region to meet or exceed sales targets. This role will focus on building and maintaining strong relationships with distributors and OEMs, training distributor sales teams, and collaborating with the inside sales account managers to drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial sales, a proven track record of achieving sales targets, and excellent communication skills.
Main tasks:
· Develop and implement sales strategies to grow market share within the assigned territory.
· Build and maintain relationships with distributors, OEMs, and key decision-makers.
· Collaborate with inside sales account managers to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
· Conduct sales presentations and training sessions for distributor sales teams.
· Monitor sales funnel progress and provide accurate sales forecasts and reports.
· Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to achieve optimal profitability.
· Travel within the territory to meet with clients and attend industry events.
· Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions
Reporting line: Managing Director
Location: USA – Great Plains Territory includes South Dakota, North Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, and Wisconsin.
Education requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Professional requirements:
· 3 years of experience in industrial sales, preferably with distributors and OEMs.
· Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
· Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts effectively.
· Willingness to travel within the assigned territory (~ 75% - 80% travel).
