Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in computer science, education, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.Computer Science 7-12 CertificationBilingual in Spanish PreferredProficiency in programming languages such as Scratch, Python, or JavaStrong understanding of computational thinking and its application in educationExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for inspiring young learners in the field of computer scienceCommitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment for all studentsKey Responsibilities :
Teach computer science concepts and skills to middle school students based on Computer Science Teachers' Association (CSTA) K-12 standards, including algorithms and programming, computational thinking, data and analysis, and digital literacy.Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.Integrate computational thinking across various subjects, demonstrating its relevance and application in real-world scenarios.Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technologies to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.Foster students' curiosity and creativity by providing hands-on experiences with coding, robotics, and other computer science tools.Collaborate with colleagues to integrate computer science principles across the curriculum, promoting interdisciplinary learning and problem-solving skills.Provide constructive feedback and support to students, encouraging them to explore and pursue their interests in computer science.Stay updated on current trends and best practices in computer science education, participating in professional development opportunities and networking with other educators.Schedule : Monday- Friday
