What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media Specialist position at North Adams SteepleCats?
The SteepleCats' Social Media Specialist is responsible for posting to all of our social media platforms,
creating graphics, and increasing fan engagement. Responsibilities include:
Creating daily content for the team’s social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter,
Instagram, and TikTok)
Updating and publishing content (videos, stories, and photos) on our website
Writing and posting original captions, tweets, etc.
Preparing content for future posts
Creating exciting and relevant graphics
Create flyers for theme nights / game announcements/postponements
Being up-to-date on the latest social media trends and technologies
Monitoring and replying to fan comments, messages, questions, etc.
Tracking and analyzing the team’s social media activity and engagement
Working closely with the Content Creator
Skills/Qualifications:
Capacity to think creatively and contribute new ideas
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Familiarity with programs like Photoshop or Canva
Detail-oriented and strong organization and project management skills
Understanding of social media platforms and appropriate use in a business setting
Willingness to work nontraditional hours - late nights, weekends
Additional Info: This job is full time 40 hours/week and runs from late May - early
August. This is an unpaid internship but we provide housing and a game-night meal. Your own transportation is encouraged but not necessary.
