Job Summary:
The administrative assistant, working closely with the Worker Compensation-Personal Injury team, to promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The role of the WC/PIP Administrative Assistant is to understand the daily needs of the department, interpreting priorities and maintaining an efficient work environment. The WC/PIP Administrative Assistant will work directly with practice staff to understand the flow of the office and to ensure all needs are met for each patients? individual needs. The WC/PIP Administrative Assistant will uphold HIPPA, maintain patient records, explain common medical procedures and assist in the overall success of the department.

Essential & Non-Essential Job Functions/Position Responsibilities:
The Administrative Assistant performs a wide range of duties, including, but not limited to the following:
- Assist patients, claim adjusters, and attorneys with all their needs as it relates to workers comp or personal injury related claims.
- Assist patients who have been injured at work or in a motor vehicle accident with appointments for the doctors.
- Assist attorneys in getting the correct paperwork and information they may need.
- Work with attorneys and the doctors to set up IMEs and Narrative Reports.
- Verify that the pertinent information regarding the patient's accident is notated in the doctor's office note and make sure the claim adjuster is up to date with their claimant's care.
- Verify claims are open and active and their medicals bills will be covered. Assist all callers as needed and transfer accordingly in a friendly informative manner while advising caller if a direct number could be dialed next time they call.
- Maintain open communication lines with all staff.
- Attend meetings, collect data, and use to develop weekly/monthly/yearly reports, compose meeting minutes, and deliver presentations/reports to internal and external stakeholders, as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of mission and as required to ensure delivery of consistent high-quality services.
