Dispatcher:

Atlantic Fuels is seeking an experienced Dispatcher to join our team. We are an expanding fuel delivery company based in Rye, NH with a loyal customer base in Seacoast New Hampshire, and southern Maine.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule and dispatch fuel deliveries based on customer needs, driver availability, and weather conditions.
• Schedule and dispatch service work orders based on customer needs, part availability, technician availability, and weather conditions.
• Monitor delivery progress and adjust schedules as needed to maintain efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, providing clear instructions and updates on route changes or service priorities.
• Take all customer inquiries regarding dispatched or future deliveries.
• Assist management staff with the supervision of day-to-day operations
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and DOT requirements.

Accountabilities:
Driver Management:

• Participation in hiring, terminations, training, reviews
• Accounting for revenue loss due to driver error
• Accounting for incorrect deliveries or customer service issues

Customer Management:

• Resolving customer issues related to dispatch
• Re-dispatching tickets, calling customers to inform them of delivery-related issues
• Adjustments to delivery schedules
• Tracking commitments and working with business management to ensure all parties are meeting their obligations

Fuel Dispatch:

• Optimizing routes for the day,
• Reviewing delivery performance for the day, week
• Working with business/sales management to communicate needed adjustments to commercial customer schedules and/or queries about changes to their usage
• Adjusting residential accounts delivery
• Monitoring tank readings and dispatching propane deliveries

Service Dispatch:

• Ensuring the schedule for the current week is set the prior week, with capacity for emergencies
• Ensuring parts are received before the installs are scheduled
• When possible, tune-ups/cleanings have parts already received prior to dispatching

Requirements:

• Ability to learn and utilize our delivery software
• Ability to remain calm and deliver clear instructions under pressure
• High fluency with computers and current software
• Past experience in the fuel industry - as a fuel delivery driver or participant in delivery logistics is preferred
• Positive attitude, strong teamwork ethics, and a demonstrated willingness to learn
