MA Certification as School Adjustment Counselor
Bachelor’s degree or higher degree; Master’s Degree preferred Experience in dealing with parents/guardians and outside agencies
Responsibilities
Provide social, emotional, and personal support to students Conduct individual and small group meetings
Support a positive school environment
Work closely with teachers, parents, and administration to provide counseling to students
Services offered by Adjustment Counselor include, but are not limited to:
504 coordination
Individual and small group counseling
Peer mediation
Bullying prevention
Social Skills groups
Parent Consultations
Crisis Intervention
