The Substitute School Nurse will be responsible for managing day-to-day health concerns, administering medications, providing first aid, and maintaining health records during the absence of the full-time school nurse.

The Substitute School Nurse will be responsible for managing day-to-day health concerns, administering medications, providing first aid, and maintaining health records during the absence of the full-time school nurse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff.
- Administer medications in accordance with school policies and medical authorization forms.
- Monitor and care for students with chronic health conditions, such as asthma or diabetes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student health records.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding student health concerns.
- Ensure compliance with state and local health regulations.
- Assist with health screenings and wellness initiatives, as needed.
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN)
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Experience working with children, preferably in a school or pediatric setting.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Flexible availability to respond to on-call needs.
- Ability to move around the school campus and respond quickly to emergencies.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
