Position Overview
Primary Purpose of Position
Perform professional accounting with the responsibility for accounting and budget functions. Apply knowledge of the theory and practice of recording, classifying, examining, and analyzing data and records of financial transactions.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The mission of the Office of EHRA (EPA) Salary and Budget Administration is to ensure the timely processing of payroll to our faculty, staff and students while working collaboratively with other units on campus to improve business processes that effect all EHRA employees. Additionally, the office works to provide budgetary, policy, planning and administrative support services to the Provost, deans, academic affairs’ units and other divisions of the university as it relates to salary and operational budgets. It is our mission to maximize the financial and human resources of the university to produce diverse global leaders, support outstanding faculty and the professional development of staff.

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; Monday - Friday

Applies in-depth knowledge related to continuous budget processing.
Providing budgetary oversight for the Division of Academic Affairs with an awareness of state financial and budgetary policies,
serve as budget liaison for the Provost, Deans and Academic Affairs Units to the University Budget Office,
review and/or prepare purchases from Provost and others as directed and allocated by the Provost, review all budget revision requests from AA units.

Duties
Maintains up-to-date departmental records of financial transactions by posting expenditures to internal departmental records and comparing these records to monthly or quarterly Financial Services reports and preparing financial reports for the supervisor as directed.
May facilitate business operations unique to the department by monitoring internal departmental reports to assure charges and payments are properly coded and applied, preparing various financial reports using spreadsheets or applications unique to the unit, auditing various departmental processes or transactions.
