Position Overview
Primary Purpose of Position
The College of Science and Technology at North Carolina A&T State University invites applications for an Administrative Assistant position. The position reports to the dean. The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to faculty conducting research in the College of Science and Technology. This position requires knowledge of the office or work unit policies and procedures in order to communicate information involving programs, functions, and services. Position duties may include preparing documents and reports, proofreading documents, using office technology, compiling records, organizing and maintaining files, posting information, greeting/referring/assisting visitors/clients/staff/others, and photocopying. To complete job duties/tasks daily, the outlined software will be utilized: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Banner Student, Banner Finance, AggieMart, Chrome River, ePAF, and InfoEd. Completing work often involves a public contact role to obtain, clarify, or provide information regarding the activities of the work unit or program. The position will serve as the primary staff assistant to a faculty group conducting research.

Records, compiles and summarizes data using established format. Compiles and organizes information from different sources to develop reports and data. Assist with creating budget revisions, keep accurate budget information for multiple researchers, create pre-approvals and expense reports in Chrome River. Enter ePAFs for student hiring at the direction of the researcher.
