Position Overview

Primary Purpose of Position
The primary purpose of this position is to provide fiscal oversight and management for University Advancement and the Foundation for North Carolina A&T State University.

Position will maintain and disburse funds; prepare statements, checks, and vouchers; develop and manage operating budget; prepare appropriate forms and reports; and reconcile accounts.

Employee must be able to apply a broad knowledge of accounting, budget, and business practices and must follow University, State, and Federal guidelines and policies in performing the responsibilities.

North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University is a 1890 land-grant doctoral research university dedicated to learning, discovery, and community engagement. The Division of University Advancement is one of eight administrative divisions at North Carolina A&T State University. Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related business area; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or relevant discipline, with at least 12 hours of accounting credits
Four years’ relevant work experience preferred

Skills and Qualifications:
Ability to gather, analyze and report information and data
Great attention to detail
Experience using Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) and Intuit QuickBooks
Experience with Banner Finance preferred, but not required
Ability to handle complex issues/challenges
Ability to interact with various levels of management

Required License or Certification

Is this position eligible for a remote or hybrid work arrangement, consistent with university and state policies.
Hybrid (Employees are working part-time in the office to perform job tasks that require on-campus engagement, and the remaining time at home)
