Community & Events Manager/Coordinator, Partnership Marketing

The North Carolina Football Club (North Carolina FC & North Carolina Courage) is looking for a motivated and experienced individual to build, manage and execute corporate partnership & community events. 
As part of the Integrated Partnerships team, you will help plan, coordinate, and execute events centered around new and existing corporate partnership programs and support with external club community initiatives. Examples include but are not limited to management of sponsored B2B events, youth field days, annual sponsor and club seasonal events and external promotional events to help benefit the club and our corporate partners. You will also collaborate with marketing, communications, operations, and ticketing teams to ensure successful event delivery and support our efforts of outreach in the community with team camps and clinics, player appearances & partner engagement events and other community programming as needed. 

The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, a passion for sports, experiential marketing, event planning, community engagement, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.  

Position Structure:  
This is a full-time position that requires working on game days and at club events, which may include evenings and weekends. 

This role dually reports to the Director Partnership Marketing and Director of Community Relations 

 Duties include but are not limited to:  
  
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Event Planning and Coordination: 
  • Develop and manage event plans, timelines, and budgets. 
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including partnerships, marketing, sales, operations, and facilities, to ensure seamless execution of events. 
  • Work closely with external vendors, contractors, and sponsors to secure services and resources. 
Game Day Management: 
  • Oversee the Partnerships Marketing partners Fan Fest Activation bump-in, execution and bump-out.  
  • Assist the Partnership Marketing Team in execution of game day activations  
  • Assist the Partnership Marketing Team in management and execution of corporate hospitality for our partners.
Community Engagement Innovation: 
  • Support and develop new community engagement platforms and events that the partnerships department can take to market and sell. 
  • Collaborate with the partnerships team to create events that enhance community involvement and generate revenue opportunities. 
 Stakeholder Management: 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all event-related inquiries. 
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including sponsors, vendors, and venue management. 
  • Communicate effectively with the broader team to ensure alignment and successful event delivery. 
  • Manage the delivery of contracted partnership events to assist in retention of our current list of clients
Budget Management: 
  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring that events are delivered within budget and that financial objectives are met. 
  • Track expenses, manage invoices, and report on financial performance post-event. 
Safety and Compliance: 
  • Ensure that all events comply with relevant health, safety, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Develop and implement risk management plans to mitigate potential issues. 
Post-Event Analysis: 
  • Conduct post-event evaluations, including gathering feedback from participants, analyzing event performance, and identifying areas for improvement. 
  • Prepare detailed post-event reports and present findings to senior management.  

Qualifications & Desirable Characteristics  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in event management, preferably in a sports-related field. 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously. 
  • Positive, service-oriented attitude  
  • Excellent relationship building, communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to present ideas clearly and effectively  
  • Superior attention to detail and customer service  
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends, as needed  
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
