Fast Pace Nephrology Office has an immediate openings for 2 Medical Front Office Assistant positions available at our Raleigh and Cary locations. The Medical Front Office Assistant will work interdependently with other medical professionals to provide quality health care to the patient. Candidate must be detail oriented and organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-pace environment. Candidate must be able to communicate information in an accurate, concise, timely and professional manner. Candidates must have reliable transportation. Candidates with Nephrology experience a plus.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Customer Care
- Answer telephone promptly and in a polite and professional manner.
- Obtain and enter accurate demographic information.
- Schedule appointments.
- Firm understanding of HIPAA
- Answer questions and offer other information, as requested, to provide patient-focused service and a positive impression of the organization.
- Act as a liaison for the patients and North Carolina Nephrology.
- Direct calls to other departments as needed.
- Use sound judgment in handling calls.
- Understanding of when to escalate calls to physicians/practice management/office managers /triage nurse.
- Support front office roles.
Administrative
- Verify eligibility for upcoming appointments, up to 30 days in advance.
- Assist with management of faxes, saving and uploading to the EHR.
- Provide assistance with mailings and other projects as call volume permits.
Other reasonably related duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications:
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to communicate effectively on the telephone.
- Ability to relate to persons with diverse educational, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds.
- Ability to work quickly and multitask.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and handle calls appropriately.
- Ability to demonstrate good customer service.
- Ability to manage PDF files.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
