In addition, the Department of Accounting participates in the Poole College of Management's Master of Business Administration degree and the other degree programs in the college. The Accounting faculty conduct high-quality, impactful research in all areas of Accounting. NC State's Jenkins MAC program is preparing graduates to be tomorrow's leaders in the important and versatile field of accounting. The program's curriculum is designed to provide students with a broad understanding of accounting and business practices, as well as a rigorous technical accounting education. Students choose between two tracks, public accounting or business & industry, to meet the needs of their career goals in the accounting profession. Optional concentrations or elective classes can be focused in the areas of Enterprise Risk Management, Information Technology or Tax Strategy. |
Essential Job Duties | The Associate Director for Academic Programs will support the growth and success of the Jenkins MAC program by managing the ASAP (Accelerated Summer Accounting Prerequisite) Online Prerequisite Program, which is essential for student success. Key responsibilities include overseeing program marketing, student communication, academic support, course improvement, and financial management. In addition, this position will help administer other MAC academic programs, including organizing town hall meetings, assisting with the teaching of ACC 600 (Managerial and Career Effectiveness), and coordinating DEI initiatives. The Associate Director will also support MAC events like Orientation, Meet the Firms, and Spring Advising Sessions.
